Tiredness has returned to my life, but I’ve come to realize that this is a sad reality of every college student, so I’m trying to make the best of it…and drinking lots of coffee. J Today was kind of a busy day. I had normal classes and was assigned lots of homework for the long weekend. I tried to get as much done as possible in my free time today, but I’ll still probably have to take some along on our trip to Toledo/Madrid. That’s alright…a six hour bus ride needs to be filled with something!
This afternoon I had another meeting with my prayer group, which was really refreshing and encouraging for me. It’s great to have a group of people and a time set aside just to share about what God is teaching us. I feel like I’m learning and growing so much in my walk with Christ this semester, and I really appreciate the prayer and support I find in my group. I’m learning lots from them, too!
I needed to spend some time actually purchasing tickets for my trip to Italy, so I did that this afternoon as well, and then I headed to Encuentro, which was great as always. We talked about forgiveness, something I just happened to be praying about and seeking to learn about this week. How fitting. I’m always amazed by how God just works things together like that. At Encuentro, I shared that I’ve been feeling worn out and a little discouraged this week. Being busy, tired, and homesick is not the best combination, and I really appreciated the support of the other students there and the encouragement God gave me through the message and prayers. We also had a time to wash each other’s feet, which was a really cool new experience for me. It was a good way to show each other that we care and that we’re in this semester abroad together.
Once we finally got home for the night, we had dinner, I finished up some homework, and then I started to pack. Tomorrow’s going to be an early morning (we’re meeting near school at 6:15), and I won’t have my computer with me this weekend, so this will be my last post until next week. Thank you all for your prayers and support. It is so comforting to know I have a loving community at home, and I’m excited to share about this weekend with you! Hasta luego!
