Last night I was too tired to write about my day, and now that I have time to write it I’m having trouble remembering what happened. This is exactly the reason I have to write a blog post every day. There’s no way I would remember ANYTHIHG at all if I didn’t write it down. This is also the reason that my life is full of lists and plans…I try to compensate for my lack of memory in the form of writing everything down.
Alright…let’s see. I had class like normal; except for it wasn’t normal for two fantastic reasons. The first, less exciting reason is that I finally had a chance to ask my grammar professor all of the questions about daily use of words that have been sitting on my ever-growing list waiting to be answered for about a week. We’ve been so caught up with our actual class material lately that we haven’t taken time to talk about questions we run across in daily life, and my list turned into a huge Q & A session involving the whole class, which took up about half of our grammar class time. It was fun, and for some reason this week I’ve been reminded of my love for questions…I’ve been asking more in all of my classes and it’s helping me get more out of them and enjoy all of the topics a lot more.
The second, very exciting reason that Tuesday was not normal is that I received TWO packages from John! That’s right…he’s that great. They were meant to arrive on different days, but I was totally excited about having them arrive together especially because school is closed this Wednesday and I wouldn’t have gotten the second one until Thursday if it didn’t arrive with the other one. The mail just happens to arrive right before my Romanticism class, which is just so ironic, and my professor wanted me to put the two new puzzles together in class so he could see what they were. I couldn’t get them together fast enough, but everyone in my class is in an uproar over these packages and we all think John is more romantic than the poets we’ve been studying, who are famous for being romantic ;)
Along with the two new additions to my growing puzzle came a bag of popcorn and an amazing book about Paris, which I’ve already started making use of to plan my trip there in December. It’s by Knopf Mapguides and has maps of each section of Paris with a list of the top 10 best sights in each section…I love it!! (and I might secretly want the whole collection of those books) I also happened to have been craving popcorn and an American movie for a long time, so I was thrilled to receive that, and I made plans with my friend Danielle to watch The Blindside in the park after lunch.
We had so much fun eating popcorn and watching the movie, and we looked at the Paris book a little before heading home for dinner. I also worked on quite a bit of homework in attempt to protect as much of my Wednesday off from the invasion of work. It was a really busy, happy day, and after Skyping with John, the hero of the day himself, I went to sleep very tired and very happy.
