Monday, October 10

This morning started out a bit slow. In other words, I had to go back to school after four days of being away from Sevilla. My classes actually went relatively quickly, and I felt like I was finally getting back into the groove of things. Last week was a little rough for me, so it was nice to feel like things were moving forward more smoothly today.
My day was significantly brightened by the arrival of a lovely package from my wonderful boyfriend, John, and my entire Romanticism class greatly enjoyed the Reese’s peanut butter cups he sent me. I spent a while finalizing and organizing my travel plans for fall break, and I think it’s all officially taken care of. Now all that’s left is to plan what my mom and I will do in Italy, and I called her this afternoon for a while to talk about that. In between all of the love from home, I worked on the pile of homework we were assigned today and went with my friend Danielle to buy an electrical converter. To our dismay, we discovered that converters here cost about $2.50, whereas in the States we both paid much more than that. Lesson learned: stock up on electrical converters in Spain ;)
In the end, my Monday turned out to be busy and productive…signs of a good week to come, and I’m looking forward to what tomorrow holds and what lessons God has in store for me this week.
